Waqar Akbar Cheema is the founder of ICRAA.org and its precursor letmeturnthetables.com. He was born and raised in Pakistan and is currently pursuing a Bachelors in Islamic Studies at Mishkah University of North America. Waqar started letmeturntables.com as a personal blog in 2008 which is now a recognized source for Islamic rebuttals to lies and misleading missionary and orientalist propaganda. As a keen student of tafsir and hadith sciences with handy knowledge of comparative religions he has produced numerous responses to issues not usually addressed by Muslim apologists. His writings are based on the works and methodology of classical Muslim scholars translated into modern idiom. He works as a freelance researcher and has authored over 250 articles. Currently he lives in Lahore, Pakistan.
Gabriel Al Romaani, the co-founder of ICRAA.org, was born in Romania to a Christian family. He Migrated to Canada in 1998 where he undertook his secondary education. After studying Islam for some years, he converted in 2003. He is graduate of Mishkah University of North America where he completed his Bachelors in Islamic Studies. Earlier he graduated with a double major in Biology and Psychology and has also graduated from Faculty of Education in Canada. He studied Islam with various well known scholars and has been active in da’wah for nine years. He has appeared on different TV shows such as Iqra TV, Huda TV, Sharjah TV and The Deen Show. He is the author of one book entitled Journal of A New Muslim, and many published articles. He delivers Friday Sermons in Dubai and is very active on Social Media, explaining Islam to people. He lives in the UAE with his family. He is the General Director of Al-Resalah Schools in Sharjah..
Shadi Yasin was born in Jordan and spend most of his life seeking knowledge and teaching others about Islam. He is a graduate of Madinah University where he completed a degree in Hadith. He also graduated with a Masters degree in the same field from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He had the opportunity to study under many great scholars as well as students of great scholars of the past. He has worked as the duaat supervisor in the Islamic Information Centre in Dubai and he is currently living in Jordan. He has appeared on TV channels such as Huda TV and Sharjah TV, and enjoys teaching Arabic to non Arabs. At ICRAA.org he helps the authors with research and translations.
Aisha Celep was born and raised in Germany to Kurdish parents from Turkey. She was raised in a family who were Alawi and had, therefore, very little to no knowledge of Islam. With time, she started to question the belief and actions of the Alawis and asked many questions about them and Islam, which nobody could answer her satisfyingly. After having a successful career in the corporate world and worked in many different countries, such as Germany, USA, Switzerland and Holland, she suddenly received a job proposal in 2008 to work in Dubai, UAE, that she happily accepted. Once she arrived in Dubai, she immediately felt a change of her heart by hearing the call of prayer 5 times a day and soon after she accepted Islam and started practicing to her best of abilities. Aisha has left the corporate industry a few years back and has dedicated herself to the field of dawah supporting voluntary admin works for a Sh. Assim Alhakeem (Huda TV, Peace TV, etc.) and some dae’e in Germany. She also currently assists a project to write a book for a fellow Muslim that will be published soon. She lives in the UAE and is giving tutoring lessons in German to little kids that she enjoys immensely. At ICRAA.org she translates selected articles into Turkish.
Mudasir Ali Shah was born in Kashmir to a Muslim practicing family with a history of scholars. He Migrated to UAE in 2004. He is a Business man dealing with Real Estate and Interior Designing. He is an avid listener of English speaking Islamic scholars. He always had a desire to participate in Islamic events and shows. He met Gabriel Al Romaani in 2013 and offered to work as video technician for ICRAA as he has good knowledge about graphic designing and video editing. Thereon he stated capturing the videos of various Islamic speakers on Friday Khutbah’s, Daily reminder videos, short videos of speakers who pass by UAE. He is the Head of Media team for Young Volunteers of UAE Red Crescent, he also participates in the managing committee of Al Multaqa forum in Ramadan every year where renowned Islamic speakers across the world are invited. At ICRAA he is the chief video editor and in charge of uploading videos to the YouTube channel.
